Rules

Grid3D Community works because people are kind and helpful. These rules keep it that way. By using the site you agree to follow them.

1. Be respectful

  • Treat everyone politely, including beginners asking basic questions.
  • No harassment, hate speech, personal attacks or discrimination.
  • Disagree with ideas, not people.

2. Keep it useful

  • Choose the right forum and write a clear title.
  • When asking for help, include your printer, filament, slicer, settings and a clear photo.
  • Say what worked when your problem is fixed. It helps the next person.

3. Share only what you may share

  • Post your own photos and models, or credit the designer and link to the source.
  • Do not share pirated, stolen or paid models, or copyrighted files you have no right to share.
  • Do not share files or instructions for making weapons.

4. No spam or scams

  • No advertising, affiliate links or repeated self-promotion. Sharing your own work occasionally is fine.
  • Marketplace and supplier discussion is for talking. Be careful with any deal and never send money to someone you do not know. We cannot guarantee any transaction.
  • Fake accounts, bots and mass messaging will be removed.

5. Protect privacy

  • Do not post other people’s personal information, such as addresses, phone numbers or private messages.
  • Check photos before posting so they do not show anything private.

6. Safety first

3D printing involves heat, moving parts, fumes and electricity. Follow safety guidance for your equipment. Advice on this site comes from members and is not professional advice.

7. Illegal and harmful content

  • No child sexual abuse material, ever. This is reported to the police.
  • No pornographic or sexually explicit content.
  • No threats, harassment, hate speech or incitement to violence.
  • Do not share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
  • Do not post content that is illegal in South Africa, including malicious or defamatory material.

What happens if rules are broken

Moderators may edit or remove posts, give a warning, or suspend or remove accounts, depending on how serious it is. Illegal content is removed straight away, the account may be closed, and serious cases may be reported to the police. If you think a decision was wrong, contact us through the Contact page.
